Wilson Co. Schools is pleased to announce that Ms. Chareda Sims has been hired as the new Assistant Principal at Mt. JSimsuliet Middle School.

Sims comes to Wilson County from Metro Nashville Public Schools, where she’s worked, since 2006. Sims began her career with Metro as a 4th grade teacher. A year later, she was promoted to school counselor, working with students in K-5. In 2012, Sims was tapped by the district to be an Assistant Principal over elementary schools. Most recently, she worked as an administrator at Tulip Grove Elementary.

Sims has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State University, as well as a Master’s Degree in School Counseling. In addition to her degrees, Sims has obtained Certifications for Educational Administration and Instructional Coaching, from Lipscomb University.
She brings aToombs wealth of knowledge and experience to Mt. Juliet Middle School. Please join us, as we welcome Ms. Sims to our district.

Sims has been tapped to replace longtime Wilson County educator and administrator, Dr. Cathy Toombs, who is retiring after 42 years of service!
